Beneath a canopy of vividly colored leaves, a tiger sits
tranquilly on a patchwork of earth… a sliver of moon is visible through
an open window that frames a vase of riotous wildflowers… these are
the images of Jutta Votteler.
Using the complicated process of color etching, Jutta Votteler shows us
a world that is instantly recognizable and yet strangely dreamlike. Intense
colors and highly detailed scenes convey her view of a world that is full
of enchantment and peacefulness. Her works invite viewers to re-examine
the everyday scenes all around them, and to see them in a spirit of contentment
and tranquility.
For over 20 years, Jutta Votteler’s art has been displayed in numerous
exhibitions throughout Europe and can currently be viewed at more than 60
fine art galleries throughout Germany. Her work is now available in the
United States through German Art Company.
